MAY IS BETTER SPEECH & HEARING MONTH
2016
Each year, Moore Communication Connections donates the proceeds from our tee-shirt sales to a great cause. This year we will donate our proceeds to Celebration Playground! Celebration Playground will be created for:
• All children of all abilities can play together.
• Parents and caregivers with mobility problems can accompany
children.
• Play equipment, ground coverings and access methods will all comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The Celebration Playground will be divided into three learning and play environments—Create, Celebrate and Contemplate—each with its own unique experiences designed to enhance each child’s physical, emotional and developmental capabilities. Children and their families will be able to have fun as they Communicate and Connect with one another! To learn more: http://www.townofclaytonnc.org/uploads/files/Parks%20%26%20Recreation
2015
Communication Connects Us
In 2015 we decided to help raise awareness about the importance of communication skills helping people to connect to one another. Some children have challenges with communicating and being connected to others. We decided to support those who are making a difference by helping those in our communities. This year Moore Communication Connections is proud to partner and support F.A.C.E.- Facing Autism with Children Everywhere. The goals of F.A.C.E.- Facing Autism with Children Everywhere are to:-Continue to increase public awareness on the needs of children with autism and other developmental differences;-Serve the community by providing services to support children with autism and other developmental differences, and their families;-Put a “FACE” to autism by providing a glimpse into the lives of people facing autism and those facing it with children everywhere.A cool t-shirt was designed to raise awareness about the important role communication skills play in keeping us connected. All the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will go to support the programs and services F.A.C.E. offers! To learn more about F.A.C.E. visit their website at: www.FacetheMovement.org.
